On the 29th of April 2024 Mattel announced the launch of its Hot Wheels x Transformers Optimus Prime on it's official launch calendar. The sale was planned to happen on 21 May 2024 and had many collectors excited. Unfortunately, not much information was made available by Mattel. However, on 1 May 2024, collectors found that the listing has been removed from the Launch Calendar and for now we accept that no RLC will be released this month as planned.

Some information then came alight from a reliable source, @mattchw1​, who released an image of an upcoming Hot Wheels x Transformers Optimus Prime. It appears to be a G1 Optimus Prime truck which will be released under the Hot Wheels Truck Fleet collection. According to a listing via Toywiz website it will be priced $7.99 and ready to ship in August this year.
